Are shipping pallets safe for vegetable gardens?

    Yes. They are. Ive also used them to make a standong herb garden

    Look on the side of the pallet. There should be numbers and/or letters. If it has HT then you're good. That means the wood was heat treated, other pallets may have been chemically treated and that could leach out into your garden.

    Yes - i've made one into a stand-up herb garden in the back patio area.

    I wouldn't if they are made out of pressure treated wood. Better safe than sorry.
