Does dry erase paint really work?

My son wants to paint a door with dry erase paint. He could use chalkboad paint but he doesn't want the dust.

3M has a sticky dry erase surface that you can apply to the door if you don't want the commitment of having to re-paint the door. With wipe boards that aren't glass, you can get "ghosting" where the dry erase markers don't completely come off. If this happens with the sticky dry erase surface, you can just swap it out.
