Hi! You can set the post in concrete set in a bucket, pot or other container. You can leave room in the top part of the container for planting some flowers.
At one time our mailbox was set in concrete in a milk can. The post that the mailbox was attached to had been set in the milk can with concrete poured around it. The concrete was heavy enough to hold the mailbox up and it stayed in place.
