How to hollow out a tree stump to use as flower pot?

    Drill out the inside and place soil inside,or make a container plant and place on top of it.

    Thanks for the Tip's, I'll try your ideas after all the rain is gone. one question though. After a long rain, The Fire Ants move up to higher ground in the stumps.

    Does happen to you? I live in South Ga.

      Buy some Diatomaceous Earth (Amazon.com) [[[food grade]]]. It'll kill the fire ants. I use an empty baby powder container, fill it with Diatomaceous Earth and sprinkle it around the fire ant mounds, around my doorways and anywhere the spiders weave their webs.

    Drill holes on the inner part, leaving a good inch or two of the outside solid. Then you can remove the wood more easily with a chisel and hammer. Once you have it out as deep as you prefer, fill with potting soil, and then plant away!
