Aluminum foil. Tear off some strips and wad into ball, not too tightly as it will compact as used. Can pull foil ball apart and turn soiled areas "in" and use ball again and again then throw away. Start w/4"x12" Foil strip or sheet size; can vary for handling ease and item being cleaned. Foil balls clean charcoal grills, rusty fenders . Mom & Dad saved used alum foil, such as pieces first used to cover a cake or food dish, rinsed off of course.

I like to use an old toothbrush or a metal brush and some kind of oil like WD40, car oil, mineral oil, etc. Lay down newspaper and apply the oil. Brush well and wipe with a clean rag. Let dry in the sun and store in a dry area. Good luck!!!
