My guess you are referring to a fireplace here. You need to run a line from the main line of gas service to your home to the location of the fireplace. Hopefully the run isn't too long. Building codes differ, so be sure to check. Where I live, a permit for this needs to be pulled, and inspected. If not done to code, this will void your homeowners insurance.
