A matter of opinion. I like the spray foam as it gets into all the nooks and crannies and is a relatively quick installation. Depending upon area, it can be more expensive to install. But I have used both and lived in both. Either one will do the job provided they meet local building codes.
The r values of batting style insulation have increased so much I would have to sit down that nasty, messy can of foam. If you ever had to do a repair behind insulation I would rather remove batting than get a jack hammer to get the foam off.
If you're looking at what your electric will be like how comfortable you want to be in the room, I'd go with foam.
