My rose bushes lost leaves and are not blooming like years past. Why?

I live in central Alabama. I planted them about seven years ago and they've always grown and been full of leaves and flowers. They look horrible this year. No fungus or bugs on them. Are they worth saving or should I plant to start over next spring? Help, Please and thank you!

Cut them way back and let them rest until next season. You may be surprised at how nice they look next year.

You can go ahead and cut them back now, since they are not doing anything for you. (Typically, you would wait until a plant is done blooming.) Cut back each branch that is not producing. If you start hitting green when you cut, don't take it back so far. As long as you are seeing brown (not green) keep trimming. Note: If you cut back a little onto the green, it is okay, but once you are hitting green you are into the good part of the branch. Hope this helps.
