My yard on Oak Island has them and growing grass is impossible. They don't bother my plants. I've read there is no insecticide that kills them.
We have Bermuda too, because of the heat. My understanding is you have to take out all the Bermuda and plant or sod with new grass.. Otherwise B will take over everything and you'll have patchy clumps of tall and short, messy looking lawn.
if you truly want to kill it....Roundup kills everything it touches.
So far, Roundup hasn't done a thing.
What we are trying the hardest to do is clear the area around the gardens. It is the most invasive plant I've ever seen. Chokes out our garden plants.
