Can regular backsplash tiles be used on fireplace insert surrounds?

I have a black metal fireplace surround with texture. I want to tile around.

Yes they can as long as they are ceramic or stone. I did that around my fireplace insert. Use 6x6 ceramic tile.
e sure to use a glass that can stand up to high temperatures and have been well tested
You should buy fire surround tiles made for the job!
