Why are my raspberries blooming but not producing berries?

    "Raspberries bear fruit on two-year-old canes. Canes that emerged last year bear fruit this year and then die while new canes appear that will bear fruit next year. If the canes that developed last year were killed over winter or were cut off last fall, only new ones will be present now and therefore no fruit.


    Fall bearing raspberries are an exception. In that case canes that emerged this spring will bear fruit this fall--but none this summer."
