Wooden Thrift Store Bowls

Homeroad
by Homeroad
Wooden thrift store bowls never looked so good! By drilling through the bowls and screwing them together with double sided screws, I created a new look for those old junkers. A coat of Empire Red ASCP and dark wax gave them the perfect look for Valentine's Day decorating! Stop by Homeroad to see the rest of the story...
Stacked on top of each other with a chair leg as the post.
Painted a deep red with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Empire Red

I found these plant based non-toxic "Glob All Natural Paint Pigment Packets, Set of 6 Colors" on Amazon. It's a possibility these would work to make it food safe. You could apply beeswax to seal it... Any thoughts?

@Sari Graham Maybe Sari but in my opinion the wooden bowls with the dowels in between would be hard to clean.... I use mine to hold things on the desk and in the craft room.

That lovely shade of red makes this project really quite beautiful! Well done!
