How can I update some old prints I have that have faded over time?

Due to the sun coming in my large windows over my cathedral ceiling, I have 3 prints which have faded somewhat. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do to make them pretty again?

This is a fix through a computer. You will want to scan the photos at a high resolution (800 thru 1200 dots per inch). From here it gets a bit tricky. There are several computer applications that will cost from $24 to around $800. The low end application is called Pixelmator and should do the job for you. You can learn how to make the adjustments yourself, through it's tutorial, or seek a student at a graphics school to do it for you. One rule of thumb is to always duplicate your original scan. If things go bad, you can always start over with another copy. When you are finished, have a high quality print made and framed. Remember to store your original photos in a dark, dry place.

Get out the Art Brushes and Acrylic paint and try to colour them back. What harm can you do, if they are faded?
