Is it worth the cost to replace worn damaged wood deck flooring with a composite material?

    Composite is certainly the way to go for the long term.

    Hi Georgia, The nice thing about composite is, it's pretty much maintenance free! You'll spend more time enjoying your deck than repairing it! It looks great and can also add to the value of your home.

    Composite is nice if you have a small deck, but mine is very big, so the price of composite is way out of my range. I use the opaque deck paint by sherwin williams.

    In my last home, we put in a composite deck and it was my favorite part of the house. Pressure washed it once or twice in the 7 years we were there and that's it. Lovely to walk on (no splinters) and the boards stayed cool in the summer. Will one day have one on my current home.
