If your engineered floor swells from water will it go back?

    most floors I've seen with water damage the floors do swell a bit. sawdust board is the worst. particle board or chip board as it's known can warp if it's not exterior grade. do those ever go back to original shape..... no. engineered wood has a lot of different layers, but it will also warp.

    No, once it absorbs water it will not return to its original shape. Sorry....😔

    That depends because we had a floor put in last year that if I have a flood I can lift it out since it's a tongue and groove let it dry and reinstall. So I guess the one question is how new is it since they improve all the time.
