Paint and/or wallpaper come right to mind, friend.

Hi Curry, This is what I did with extra drawers. You could even make hinged lids for these! These are probably smaller than yours, but the principle is the same. Another idea is to attach small wheels on the bottom of the drawer and use under your bed for shoes or just extra storage!
Hope this helps
You could paint and stencil them. It would be cost saving to use regular paint or you could chalk paint them. Using either one you can very lightly sand around the edges and small areas on surface of drawers before applying stencils.
I would paint them. See if you can get cheap paint in the bargain bin where mistakes were made or never picked up - here they call them the oops bin - usually good quality paint too. Or how about spray paint, not expensive. And if you paint a neutral color, when dry you can also decopage them too.
I would spray paint the frame, there are so many great colors. Rose gold is my current new fav. Decoupage the drawer fronts, the dollar store has a lot of great napkins or paper to pick from. You could than pick out your favorite theme or colors. Amazon has many great knobs and pulls available cheap.
Many thanks for the great ideas. I am ready to start with my project. I am going for something that could be a focal point in the room. I will share if it turns out great. Perhaps a modernistic piece. Wish me well.
OOOOOOH yes, Thanks.
I'm already there. Thank you.
