PlantNet Plant Identification receives high reviews. I haven't used it personally.

  The app is from France and appears to be for plants that grow in that country. It may not identify the local plants in the US.

Leafsnap is being developed by researchers from Columbia University, the University of Maryland, and the Smithsonian Institution. You just snap a picture of the plant to the app and it will identify it for you!
