How do I unstick a chain for light/fan combo (fan chain works)?

Pulled the chain to open the light on the fan and it jammed, have tried everything to disengage it but it won`t budge, Cannot remove the fan, would love for the light part to work again .

This happened to me and I just replaced the switch. You can purchase the replacement switches at any good hardware store. Simple to replace. Just get on a ladder, you do not have to remove the fan.

This will have to be taken apart, chances are that if you keep trying to pull on it to unstick it, it will break. take it apart.
Amen. Turn off the power or hire an electrician. A screwdriver in the wrong spot will kill you.
