How can I improve the look of a gas heater that hangs on the wall. I would like to put brick around it or a faux brick but don't know where to begin. How do I do this project?

Airstone from lowes or home depot may work..they are flat..they also have corner pieces. easy to put.up..we did the wall below..from the floor to ceiling.
