Do you mean how to stop them from coming in or, once they're in, get the out? For the latter, open the windows really wide and play loud music - most birds will be deterred by the noise and encouraged by the open air :) Good luck!

The first course of action would be to find out where they are entering your attic. Go up into the attic during the early morning (lot cooler) and look for daylight, this is probably their entrance. Repair the opening and this should solve the problem. P.S. Look for nest and remove.

An old farmer taught me this trick around 50 years ago. Hang a bunch of inexpensive fly paper strips around in the attic. Eventually, the birds will get caught in them and they can be removed. When gone, the entrance must be sealed. Also, unless you have seen them, your birds may very well be bats.

Getting them out isn't your real problem, finding how they are entering and fixing that is your solution to keeping critters out. Check your gable end vents make sure you have wire mesh screen on the inside part of that vent. If not Mesure that vent from inside the attic then go to Lowe's.
