Dig the hole twice the size of the root ball, place a little peat moss in the bottom and fill it back with the soil, tamping out any air, Keep the roots moist and make sure watering is done in the early am
Rose bushes should be planted in cooler weather . They should also get mostly morning sun
all of the above is good advice...but I would like to add: add bone meal & banana peels to the hole also, some people also add a Plant Shock Food that helps the plant from being shocked as it enters new soil/location; it can be found at your local nursery. Why add bone meal? It greatly benefits the plant by providing nutrients to the soil. Why add banana peels? They also provide nutrients & an added benefit is that the plant absorbs chemicals from the peels that help ward off insects, enhances the plant's growth & gives you gorgeous blooms!
Thank you
