I have an old wooden window frame that has no glass in it. It has loosened over the years. I have colored glass ready to install. What should I do?

I would definitel, because you don't want to take a chance of the window coming out and breaking. Especially if a door is slammed or a gush of wind.

There are special little pins that you push into the frame to secure the glass before you puddy. Ask at the hardware store. Don't skimp on these things because you'll be replacing the glass again if you do.

Get some 1/4" dowels and a long 1/4" drill bit ( about 6" long). Drill into the corners of the frame making sure you drill both wood parts. Put wood glue on the dowel and hammer it into the hole. Cut off the excess and do this in every corner. Make sure the frame is square before the glue starts to dry. I have use this technique to repair chair/table legs. chair frames, etc.

I would most certainly address they maintenance issue first then add the beauty.

REPHRASED - I HAVE AN OLD WOODEN WINDOW FRAME THAT IS MISSING ALL ITS GLASS. I WANT TO REPLACE THE MISSING GLASS WITH STAINED GLASS AND THEN HANG IT AS AN ART PIECE ON MY PORCH. WILL THE GLASS PLUS POINTS AND PUTTY STOP THE WOBBLE OR DO I NEED TO DO SOMETHING ELSE?
