How do you grow a organic garden without bugs & insects?

I want to make a raised vegetable garden. How do you grow a organic garden without bugs , ants, and insects from invading the garden? I don't want to use harsh chemicals...please, any advise?

There are many companion plants that when planted together help with bugs... such as tomatoes and marigolds and corn and beans. even lavendar helps keep bugs away. research companion planting.
