    small green house

  • Sure! Would shade it in some way or plant where it receives morning sun and late late afternoon sun, so the fruit does not get sun burned.

It doesn't like very hot temps, but plenty of water, and partial shade will keep it happy

I lived in Chandler and Phoenix in the early '80s.Zucchini is best grown in the spring before thr real heat sets in,but if it has shade from the direct sun through the middle of the day and is mulched with straw to hold in moisture,it will make it later into the year.Hope that helps.

you need richer, loamier soil than 'Zona usually gets, so working compost (or even last year's mulch) into the soil helps

starting them early and putting them out as soon as frost danger is past

making sure they have good thick mulch, and deep waterings (drip irrigation, or a covered terra cotta pot buried near the root zone) and mid-day shade (along a northeastern wall or hedge, under an arbor, or in the shade of cucumber plants, which are better able to take the heat, coming from desert climates)

will give you a fighting chance.
