Does anyone have a creative, inexpensive, and "easy on the eyes" idea for rain collection? I could spend the money, but I would rather repurpose.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Naudical1 - I am getting ready to repurpose a used hotwater heater for just this very thing! Plan to paint to match the accents on my home and plant some clumping ferns around the base to blend into the landscape. Much of the existing plumbing can be retrofitted with simple spigots for use. Best part is that many folks just want the older units just hauled away. Be sure to check for a solid (non-rusted) bottom on the tank.

Check out Unicorn Spit...it is a stain/glaze that can be used on wood/glass/metal/plastic.
