I don't of any specific plant that will repel a cat. You could use catnip as a distraction. Cats tend to stay away from citrus scents and lavender. Cacti would be a good plant.

If you can grow some oat grass (sold in pet stores as "cat grass" seed) and keep it in a convenient location for the cats, I've found that cats will always choose the oats over any other plant.

Some cats really hate the smell of garlic. Since garlic is not good for cats to eat, I would try rubbing a garlic clove on the pot itself and see if that will keep the cat away.

Eating plants is a sign that your cat wants a little more fiber in their diet. Grass acts as a natural laxative.

Did you know that most houseplants are toxic to cats and dogs? We make sure our plants are the hanging type and out of the way, but so far has shown no interest in eating any of them. It really limits what you can have if our animals do chew on plants. Don't want to harm our furry companions!
