Despite dutifully picking them off each morning, Japanese beetles are turning my beautiful burgudy Canna leaves into brown lace? What else can i do. We are surrounded by land that cannot be treated to kill the larvae.

Wet them down. Sprinkle sevin dust on them or get a Japanese beetle at your local garden shop

On a daily basis spray them down with horticultural oil and use a organic systemic insect control.

get the Japanese beetle traps at lowes. must keep at least 30 ft. from garden it worked in my garden does not smell bad. It smells like a citronella candle not messy to use but you have to change the bag when full because that will smell if left on when over filled

I use diatomaceous earth--- food grade only at Amazon. You must re-apply after it gets wet, and it may take several dustings to get rid of them. Google to see wonderful web page about this natural wonder.

Treat your property with milky spore. It kills larvae but takes multiple treatments on lawn. The bug bags work too, but you are killing the mating adults. id put them at the edge of your property, as they attract the beetles.
