Amazing Improvements and Garages
Amazing Improvements and ... Professional Marietta, GA on May 26, 2011

Quartz floors have been very popular in Commercial installations such as hospitals and schools.

Anywhere there are wet areas such as cafeterias and bathrooms. They are also excellent for garage floors as the quartz adds two elements to the floor. One - Higher compressive strength of the surface and Two - Thickness. Most are "double broadcast" where there are multiple coats of epoxy and sand lain prior to the top coat which locks everything down and provides its textured surface. Its a 4 day process. Like it? How about a thumbs up?

    Closeup of the Quartz Floor. This is a blend called "Bluestone". Many custom colors available.

    A full double broadcast (3 layers of Epoxy) runs between $5.50 and $6.50 with a minimum of 450 square feet anywhere in the metro area. As a designer, you can create your own color blend at our distibutor in Roswell. We can adjust the amount of "grip" based upon the amount of epoxy in the top coat. It can be done for less with less material, but the "look" gives it away. Questions? just give me a ring!

    Thank you.. not typically a project within my services. But, great information to know and have available if the opportunity arises!

    I think it's the most beautiful garage floor I have ever seen.

    I hope they are going to do a nice paint jog on the walls to match. (;

    Best, Charles

    BSB, as a designer, you may wish to look at what can be available in metallic epoxy applications. In Norcorss, on Amwiler Road, we have installed a metallic floor in a car dealership. I took this pic with my phone, but if you wish to see what a designer floor can look like, they are always happy to have you over and show it off....
    • Metallic floor with high gloss urethane top coat
    • check out the reflection of that Ferarri wheel !
    • see the flag? Some clients think the floor is still wet....
