Container Fountain Done Easy! by Michelle Masterson

Today is a great day to make your own Container Fountain! If I can I am sure you can!

I’m going to provide more visual media in today’s Post.

If you would force me to class this project on easy to advanced – I would say easy to intermediate. Only because a drill is involved.

Making this post has taken me hours to produce with uploading, downloading videos & pictures and adding videos with HTML.

The DIY Fountain Container took less then 1 hour!!!! In part because rocks were needed & I had to gather them.

Please comment if you have done this project or if it looks easy enough you will be making your own garden!
This is the “container” I had ready available & because it being my first it was a good choice for a test run.

Hole in Bottom for cord to go under container. You can put one in the side if you prefer. I recommend taking a file to smooth the edges of that hole to prevent cutting chord.
1 1/2 Wood Drill Bit – pick any tool to make your hole.
The kit I bought from Lowes. We had the silicone to seal around the hole & chord.
Let’s get the pieces & parts out of the pump kit. This is the pump & Chord.
Find the leggs & screw to underside of pump.
Shown below.
Next: The color coded nozzle to explain how you can use these.
The purple dot above represents the ONE fitting you can put on telescopic tube on pump. If you don’t use it throw it out – none of the other 2 nozzles are to go together with the fitting marked purple above. See video above for possibly clear directions. The 2 small nozzle heads, the blue or orange one fits (one or the other) in the TELESCOPIC tube on pump. You have only 3 nozzles to try out.
Here's a blooper in this video above. I had explained everything here & looking to shut off video when I notice it was never recording! Grrr. lol.
At this point – you have your container, someone drilled a 1 1/2 hole.  You can chose to put hole on bottom or side. We did the bottom because it  was on our front porch & we didn’t want to see chord to outlet. It’s very important to pick your spot based on location of electrical outlet.
The Water Lilies I purchased were because thats all that was there. I also know very little about plants – I just dive in the stuff & learn as I go! The lilies believe it or not did require “assembly” directions on the container.

Now you want to run your chord through hole & set your pump.
The deepest you would want to have this setting down in your
container would be 24inches. We silicone the bottom of the
pump to container. Why? Wanted too. Now your pump is in.
Go take your container to location – its time for rocks & water!

Rocks & water in – pick your nozzle! Plug  it in and play with the settings!
I would LOVE if you have pintrest to follow me here: https://www.pinterest.com/Mishelley50  I do my best to “follow” back when being followed! Please leave me a comment! Tell me where you are from or if you have a question about this project ask in comments because it’s probably something some one else wants to know too. I know I have a reputation for thinking more in my head then what I think I explained- Do not be shy to ask! Let’s stay connected!
One future DIY project, I have is to transform this outside space –
