How can I make my single lever faucet easier to move back & forth?

This Moen kitchen arched faucet uses a single lever to get your hot or cold water. Lately it has become very difficult to move from left to right or right to left. I'm thinking some water accumulation gunk got stuck somewhere in there but I'm not sure how to fix it or even get into that tiny little space at the bottom or underneath the lever.
That faucet is installed wrong. The lever is not supposed to be where it is in the photo.. The handle (lever) is supposed to be on the left of the faucet. That part is not supposed to move at all. The mounting nut underneath must have loosened and the faucet shifted. You need to slightly loosen the nut underneath, turn the faucet so the handle (lever) is on the left, then tighten the nut. You pull the handle down with your left hand to turn the water on and vice versa. The goose neck is what swivels not the whole faucet. The goose neck screws to the part with the handle. It may be too tight for it to swivel that's why the whole faucet moves. You can take a pair of pliers and loosen the goose neck just till it swivels. May want to place a cloth around it so not to scratch the finish.The part that looks like a bell. Hope this helps.

You should have gotten an information booklet with maybe some diagrams. If you have it, have the booklet open while you are talking or writing. i too have a faucet i cant turn it on &off.it is one piece on wall in bath tub.it pushes on&off. turns to left &>right extremely hard to do..
