  • Furniture placement can make a big difference. Sometimes you just need to try different arrangements and move things around until you find something you like that works. Have you looked at rooms on line? Sometime you can get ideas from looking at Pinterest, magazines, etc.

Try to make a space from the front door to the daylight at the back of the house. If that's not possible, try to hang mirrors that will reflect the light around the room. Move furniture to the edge of these light trails throughout the house. From the front and other doors, make sure there is a focal point. A window, a mirror, artwork, a striking photo. Best wishes 😇

is your furniture cumbersome. If so, maybe sell on gumtree or ebay and but furniture that is a light colur and smaller, buy on gumtree also, is there anything you'd part with without replacing, as having less furniture and things will definitely make the rooms appear larger. Also, paint the ceilings & walls white. They will make the rooms appear bigger. Good luck!

Declutter decorative items. Only have out what you need. Find a place for everything. This is organized time if ever there was need for it. Get into the mindset of becoming a minimalist. Keep counters bare. And keep home clean at all cost. Don't go up to bed without washing dishes and straighten up. But I'm tired doesn't work in this situation. It's all about changing habits and making sure that everyone does their share to learn to live this way. It sounds worse than it is, you'll begin to embrace this and wonder why it took so long to do this change.

First step is for sure doing a clean up. Donate everything that you don't need....
