Hey guys! I have an adorable little project for you today. We’re going to make a Prayer Box, but little enough for on the go, using an Altoids Tin!
This project is fun and the product is cute, all you need is an altoids tin, pieces of scrap paper, modge podge, some buttons, sand paper, and a fake flower. Or what ever else you'd like to decorate your box!
First, trace the top and bottom of the altoids tin after you clean it out. I traced on different pieces of paper for each trace. But be sure to trace the bottom and top of the altoids tin twice, that way we can cover the inside bottom and top.
Next, sand down the top, bottom, inner top, and inner bottom of the tin. To toughen up the surface for a stronger application of the paper.
Then, hot glue the paper to the respective surfaces: top, bottom, and inner surfaces.
I then printed out a few sayings on the computer to glue onto the tin.
I then added modge podge onto the top of the box to make it have a nice shine to the top of the scrapbook paper.
Next, I took the fake flower and snipped off a few petals, and began glueing them onto my prayer box. I made a small flower on the top of my box with a button as the center. I then added the buttons in the shape of a cross on the inside top too.
To add more decoration, I tied a pretty pink ribbon on the box.
Now, I'm going to need paper to put inside my prayer box so I can write down my wishes later on. So, I took regular computer paper and snipped up some pieces.
VOILA! I loved the result so much, I even made one for my friend!
Now I can write down my prayers on the go in a cute little box.
