Find or create a stencil by tracing the numbers that are there now . I have seen wooden numbers and letters at the Dollar General store for really cheap though , so you may just want to pick up a pack of those along with some Loctite or E6000 to use as an adhesive . Decide what you going to use for the mosaic : glass jewels , old jewelry , chopped up CDs , etc. and get to gluing ! If you're anything like me , you may want to wear rubber gloves and use tweezers lol. I have glued my own fingers together .
I've tried myself but I didn't do a house number i just did a mosaic tile on a kitchen island, using broken up pieces of tile and had different colors. But as C.D Scallan mentioned definitly get a template /stencil of numbers and any additional design you want. Make sure to get waterproof grout. 😁
get a good oak hard wood board the size you want. Then using silicone or gorilla glue just glue the ceramic numbers to it. You can purchase the numbers at a home improvement store
Mosaics are more easier then you think and you can have lots of fun creating your designs. My recommendation is you search on Pinterest "making mosaic address numbers" and get ideals you like. Also don't forget thrift stores or Goodwill stores are great places to find items to use in your mosaics like plates, etc. Please follow safety steps like wearing glasses, gloves and putting towels over plates etc. before breaking them. Happy Mosaicing!!!
They're much easier than you think - and they look amazing! Good luck with your project!
Think about going to a local thrift store and gathering some cool old plates to use as mosaic pieces as well!
