How to repair a very slow drip on a hot water tank copper pipe line?

?? is there a "permanent" way , and product to use, to repair the "copper" hot water pipe with a very slow drip??

    Others reading this can tell you if JB Weld, found at hardware stores and auto parts stores, will fix that problem.

    Best way is to drain the tank till there is no water in the pipe itself. Have some solder ready. heat the pipe fitting with a propane torch and hit the joint with some solder. Refill the tank. A cheaper way is to use a two part epoxy putty and wrap it around the leak. JB Weld is one, Locktite is another.

    Pamela, thanks for your help. I hate to call my plumber and spend so much money for him to come and fix it. The leak is so small.
