Does anyone know how to remove hard water stains from a plastic sink
Have a plastic sink in a mobile home that has hard water stains and discoloration spots. Can't seem to get them off. Any ideas?
Try scrubbing with tooth paste (not gel). If that doesn't work you can try use 400 grade sandpaper to rub it out. If you do that you will need to polish it when you're done .

I'd try Goo Gone or Simple Green first: spray on the stains, let sit for 30 minutes, and then wipe. If this doesn't work, try toothpaste or baking soda using a sponge to softly scrub the area. Lastly, in my own experience with stains, I'd try using hairspray, spraying and leaving it to sit for 10-15 minus, rinsing and repeating. Depending on how long the stains have been present on the acrylic, you may have to resort to sanding or even painting the sink.
I use Awesome Orange, and it dissolves off nicotine....buy at the Dollar Store, and buy the half gallon its only a $1.
