If not used why not do a drywall patch, its not hard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmm02R7FSYM

Get some paint chips to match your paint, sand and repaint. They will tint a quart to rematch.

I just saw this wonderful idea that may work well for you too? Depends on if you just need to hide or actually completely and permanently cover. Good luck!

Hmm...so cover it...like a hole in the wall? I thought you still needed it! Oops! Yeah, the first response seemed to sum that one up. Or just find a great book shelve and cover the wall! Lol JK! Errg! I am sure you'll be able to do it, just like all projects "when we find the time" right? Best of luck to ya!!

For the air conditioner spot, you could hang a picture over it. It would have to be larger than the hole because it is not centered. You might have to take off the trim for your picture to hang level. maybe even use the mirror that you have on the wall next to it. for the furnace register, I would make a little fairy door to put there. Actually hobby lobby has a small wooden door with a rounded top. I keep seeing it and love it but didn't know what to do with it. I think it would look really cute. I would paint it a light color so it can be seen but doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.
