Depends on how much sun it will get. The roots on cactus are not deep. I would worry about damage moving it so much.

I would suggest placing the pot and cactus into the ground in the summer, then bringing indoors to overwinter. I'm assuming you live in a climate that freezes regularly.

It would be in your best interest to plant it in a pot and sink the pot in the ground so it is easier to pull out in the fall.

I would not do this. If you have to move it due to inclement weather in the winter, I'd keep it in a large pot and move the pot, with a dolly. Cactus have shallow roots and can tip over easily. Also, do not over water.
