I tried to grow radishes for the first time, question
they ended up with foot tall leaves but very little radish bulb itself, so I just pulled them out. Why did this happen?

They were too close to each other. Radishes need about 2-3 inches around each other for room. After planting seeds go back a pull out some of the seedlings to give each plant room.
Chances are you left them in the ground too long and they were going to seed.
Mine always came out hard.
