What is the best way to replace a fan housing

what is the best way to replace a fan housing when the fan model is outdated and you cannot replace the parts any longer? Is there a way to replace parts that weren't made for your fan model but could be used anyway?

Contact the manufacturer to see if they have compatible parts. I would think it would be cheaper to buy a new fan though.
Rhonda- You will have to take out the old fan and measure the opening for a new replacement. Is there access to the fan from above. (attic)? Pictures will help receive better response.
