actually this happened to me and I replaced it with non beveled glass and replaced both pieces. It cost $20 for both pieces. The only other thing you could do is put a large wood serving tray over the part with the broken glass section. But that would probably be more than the cost of replacing both pieces with non beveled glass

You can remove both pieces of glass and replace with a piece of plywood. It could be tiled or use a mosaic treatment on the plywood. If your mosaic is a bit uneven, cover with a thin piece of plexiglass. We did the tiling on a table we used to own with the same issue. There are so many fun tiles available now.

I was going to suggest the same as Cindy - if you can't afford to replace the glass, remove the other good piece of glass (save for another purpose) and fill in the two areas with wood.
