We put in this Colonial Revival garden in the fall of 2009. It is entered from a sun room in our house.

Beautiful job, Denise. Looks like very welcoming and very much in keeping with the architecture of the house.

Beautiful. We just put up a colonial style fence and I may be stealing some of your garden ideas. Thanks for posting!

It's lovely. I especially love that you have to enter it from the privacy of the house. Somehow I think it makes it more special. Well done.

Wow, that is just beautiful. I am jealous. How do you keep it so perfectly groomed?

As it is rather small (about 12 x 12), it is fairly easy to maintain. We prune the shrubbery twice a year to keep a uniform shape and plant annuals (begonias or impatiens, as it is shady) in the late spring and pansies in the fall. Other than that, a re-mulching with pine straw twice a year takes care of it.

This is beautiful! I picture some wisteria or clematis or passion flower vine on that trellis....just lovely!

Again just beautiful. I sure would have figured larger than 12 x 12. Oh maybe the grass part is larger? Either way it is gorgeous. And of course the beautiful , shady trees outside the fence only add to the perfection of it. Enjoy!
