If your plants are frying, you probably need more airflow and some shade cloth to cover your roof where the sun hits from about 11am- dusk.

    Hope that helps

  • My best guess is that they are getting sunburned or cooking in the greenhouse. It needs better ventilation and shade. Since you are in Florida I would only use duging the winter months - Spring, Summer and early Fall your plants do not really need a greenhouse.

    Hi Jo,

Installing an full 90 degree oscillating fan will help keep air moving through the greenhouse and prevent stagnant air from building up around leaves, and prevent many disease problems.

In warmer environments or when the sun is directly hitting the greenhouse, shading can keep plants from getting burned by reducing the amount of summer sunlight. Polypropylene shade cloth, roll-up screens of wood or aluminum, vinyl plastic shading, or paint-on materials can all be used to shade plants.

To me, it sounds like you should plant the plants on the other side of your lot. Use the area, where the sun, is shinning, for only a few hours, then the shade

for the balance of the day. You may have to put this on a diff. side of the house. Best wishes, J.
