My mother had ties for her lily of the valley raised garden and they were still in good shape when she sold the house 30 years later.
RR ties.
Naturally rot-resistant wood like red cedar, black locust or redwood.
My brother made some with cinder blocks. They put strawberries in the holes. It looks really nice.
Cinder block makes a great frame. Plant veggies inside and plant herbs or Flowers in the holes in the cinder blocks around.
