What grout is best?

I want to flare up some plant pots by covering them in broken colored glass, like a stained glass project, but am not sure what grout would be best for my last step? Any ideas?

Sanded grout is for large grout lines and unhanded grout is for very narrow grout lines. For mosaics I have always used sanded.
An unsanded grout would be the smoothest look. Mix it up in small batches, and smear it over your project, wiping off the excess as you go. Be sure to clean as you go because if it dries on the project, it is hard to remove.
Since it's not going to be stepped on any non sanded grout will work. If the spaces are huge that's when you use sanded grout.
