Not sure, but sounds like you might want to contact "Wounded Warriors" in your area. https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/

In our neighborhood, we had a Wounded Warrior Project and they prepared the entire house for our vet. It was a wonderful event when they brought this warrior to his new home. Good luck to you, God bless you and yours and thank you for your service.

I've spoken to Wounded Warriors, Home for Warriors, Habitat for the Humanities, Rebuild TogetherNYC and countless others in the NYC area, all have a budget for Sandy Storms survivors but not for Adaptive Services... but God Bless and Thank you...

Oh, Sandy, if I had the skills and was younger, I'd be on the road driving your way. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills or the - well, let's put it this way. I bought this house in 1972 when I was in my 20's, so I've been around for a while. While, you've called everyone you can think of, why not call again. Write to the Attorney General about this contractor. Tell them you need you money back and tell them ALL the reasons why. Write a real letter, not an email. You'll stand out. Then start a campaign to write to all of the heads of each organization on a rotating basis. Make every letter different, explaining part of how you're living. Actually, try the Pres. of the US. He campaigned on a platform of better treatment for our vets. Hold him to his promises. Start a GoFundMe campaign. That might help financially. Ask all of your friends to write a letter. Type something out for them to sign and mail it yourself, if you have to do that. Maybe if your name and circumstances come up often enough, someone will act. Send pictures of you and your daughter trying to function in your living room. Do anything you can think of to get their attention. It makes me so angry that we have money for illegals schools, health care, etc, but our Vets suffer unnecessarily. I'm so sorry.

May the Lord help and bless you with the needs that you have. Amen.

My Military pride won't allow me do a Go Fund me page... and It, my pride, certainly won't ever allow me to parade my circumstances over the media... I did it here because we are all crafty people here and thought maybe someone with some construction knowledge might want to give my house there artistic shot but I'm good, God bought me to it and He will see me through too...
