You can see if you don't have a Restore (Habitat for Humanity) and check the pickings there. Here we have Hobby Lobby, and their hardware is fairly reasonable but the knobs always require an upgrade with locking washers. I cruised Craigslist nationwide to replace mine. Ended up paying around $70 for hammered copper (that I love)...the retail on these was well over $300. A couple in San Diego had purchased a high-end house and were redoing their kitchen.

Help answer this question...world market stores or online or spray paint. We house spray paint on everything. Including sink and tub fixtures. You won't believe how great it turns out or how strong the finish is.

Lowes... Brushed nickel knobs will compliment your white cabinets and are $ 2.00 ea.
  • there are plain knobs at Home Depot and Lowe's for about a $1-$1.50 each. I always look at the clearance areas too and there are multipacks at the stores now too that will save you money. What kind of spray paint did you use? I have sprayed ceramic knobs before and had good luck with using Rustoleum.

It truly depends on the over-all look you are going for. Beachy---pieces of driftwood, seashells or rope. Vintage---old (yard sale/antique store) silverware bent to form handles like this http://dressmeupimstayinghome.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html . Sleek/modern - just metal straps or even stiff leather strips. And you CAN paint the ceramic ones you have, but it takes more than just spray paint. Ceramic or glass paints will work with the proper prep work being done first. There are tutorials all over the web on how to do all of these projects. Have fun, be unique and make it your own.

Why not try something like this DIYer did with a ceramic vase with your current knobs. http://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/diy-nail-polish-marbled-vase-7428770 It's worth a try.
