Not sure about covering the tile, but they do make a special paint that can be used to paint over old tile. Check with your local home center for details.

Easiest way would be the paint they sell for covering tile. You can get it in a whole lot of colors. I have heard it lasts up to ten years before beginning to crack. My aunt had it done in her bathroom and it has held up.

We contacted a bathroom refitters who did job well and really inexpensive. Unless you have a strong desire to DIY this time, I say hire this out!
