I have a ton of little crafty items that need good ways of being stored, and buttons are one of them. So I grabbed some empty spice jars, and decorated them up with colored coded tops to match my button colors. Here are my pink, light blue, and yellow button jars!
Start off with some empty plastic spice jars, glass would work too, but I seems to have a ton of plastic ones, so I used those. Clean the labels off. You can use Undo, or Brutus Monroe Squeaky Clean to get the sticky off each jar. Pick out your paper color choices to place on the bottles to make them cute!
I painted the lids the colors of the buttons that will go in the jars. This way I can find the correct color I want by just looking the lids, no more hunting!
I added some cute papers to the centers of the jars, still keeping with the color tons of the buttons inside (this is a yellow button jar). I even stamped and colored in a little ice cream cone for fun :)
Why not add a little fun to the jars but adding in some die cut papers to the centers, still keeping with the theme of the color of the buttons in the jars.
Here is a video on how I made these cute little button storage jars. Check it out!
So now I have a start on my sorting of all my buttons, now I just need to do the rest of the colors...another project for another day!
