How to remove water spots from a polished windowsill?

I had plants on the windowsill, with a plate to catch the water, but the water sipped through and made round water marks. :( Is there any way to remove them without polishing the whole window, 8' wide and 18" deep? Thank you.

I've heard that mayonnaise can help with water spots. If you apply it and it does nothing, then you can remove the mayo with a cleaner like windex.

Try a solution of water and vinager. It makes my mineral deposits vanish from my metals. Spray ,wait ,wipe.

You can try putting baking soda on the spots. Leave it overnight and then clean it off. Maybe the baking soda will help absorb the Moisture

you will have to sand it down - stain it and re-varnish

I agree with Sha Wood. The damage is too extensive. It will need to be sanded, stained, and sealed with polyurethane.

I agree with Sha Wood as much damage one would need to sand, restain, & refinish. You may do more work trying to just get rid of the spots.
