In most cases they call for you to plant them in the sun. I have a ton of plants that only started with 24 and all different varieties., that I have in the shade and rocky soil. They only get sun in the AM and later in the afternoon. Never had a problem with them, never feed them only let the leaves from the tree cover them in the all. And they are near my house, this time before they were under a tree, on a hillside.
